History of Faith Defenders Bible Study Group

Founded in 2024, the Faith Defenders Bible Study Group was born from a clear calling. On Saturday, June 29th, 2024, Deacon Everton Scott and Sis Ava Scott, prompted by the Holy Spirit, launched this ministry with a passion for souls, Biblical truth, and spiritual growth. What began as a WhatsApp group with four members—Deacon Everton Scott, Sis Ava Scott, Bro Immanuel Scott, and Sis Christine Wildman—quickly grew into a dynamic fellowship.

Our initial gathering of four members, has been blessed with steady growth. An early and vital addition to our spiritual family was Sis Lyria Williamson. From these humble beginnings, we have seen both spiritual and numerical growth.

We meet weekly, every Saturday from 8:00 PM to 9:15 PM, which has become a dedicated time to explore the Scriptures, strengthen our faith, and support one another. What started with four members has blossomed into a vibrant community that has welcomed over 72 visitors to our sessions, with many returning to become regular, active participants in study and prayer.

A significant milestone in our journey was the partnership we formed in early 2025. We were honored to join with Prayer Portals to Heaven Ministry International, led by our sister, Sis Camille Peart-Shand. This divine connection, has been a catalyst for our ministry, expanding our outreach, providing new resources, and amplifying our soul-winning and prayer efforts.

Together, this team works to ensure our meetings are Spirit-led, well-organized, and a source of deep spiritual nourishment for all. Our weekly studies focus on applying God's Word to our daily lives, covering vital themes like faith, salvation, and Christian living.

Our motto, "Standing Firm in Faith, Defending the Gospel," is more than a statement—it's our commitment. We have seen members grow in boldness and love, equipped to defend their faith with conviction.

Looking ahead, we are prayerfully planning to expand our impact through mentorship, specialized studies for youth, and powerful joint retreats. Our dedication to upholding God's Word and fostering a loving, supportive spiritual family remains our guiding purpose.

dedicated to knowing Christ deeply and making Him known. Through the authority of Scripture, we study to grow in wisdom and to actively share
